以前メリアンさんにピアノを演奏して頂いたこの曲に、トワさんに英語の歌詞をつけていただきました！
サックスとトランペットの掛け合いのメロディのところをトワさんと僕のデュエットにしてあります。
ピアノはメリアンさんの演奏をそのまま拝借してところどころミックスを変えました。
もう天の川の季節ではありませんがUPします＾＾；
映像も使い回しですが、メリアンさんのアドリブ演奏が見られる貴重な映像です♪
前にも書きましたが、アテ撮りをしていただいたのです。

よくタイトルとか歌詞に入れた言葉についてどんな意味なのかなぁと思って調べます。
日本語の「天の川」これは見たまんまでしょうね。
星の群衆が天にある川のように見えますから。
英語だとMilky Wayですが、あれれ〜いったい何がミルキーなのでしょう。
日本国民にとってはミルキーといえば「ミルキーはママの味」です。
星となんの関係もないがな、と思ってWikipediaを見たところ、ギリシャ神話では天の川を「乳」と見ているということだそうですw
で、Milky Way。
古代ギリシャ人にはあれが母乳に見えたのでしょうか？？
わけわからん、と思いWikipediaでギリシャ神話の項に飛ぶと、以下の話が載っております。

ゼウスは、自分とアルクメネの子のヘラクレスを不死身にするために、女神ヘラの母乳をヘラクレスに飲ませようとしていた。しかし、嫉妬深いヘラはヘラクレスを憎んでいたため母乳を飲ませようとはしなかった。一計を案じたゼウスはヘラに眠り薬を飲ませ、ヘラが眠っているあいだにヘラクレスに母乳を飲ませた。この時、ヘラが目覚め、ヘラクレスが自分の乳を飲んでいることに驚き、払いのけた際にヘラの母乳が流れ出した。これが天のミルクの環になった。
